Heart Outline

When I reflect upon the most intensely memorable experiences in my life, they all involved sharing a special connection with another being. Regardless of how fleeting, moments of kindness and grace leave an indelible imprint. Kindness lingers. This is my inspiration for how I aspire to show up in the world.

Kind, respectful, compassionate, non-judgemental etc. are adjectives based on action, or rather a set of behaviours. These traits are innate in almost every human yet we are not the best versions of ourselves when we become busy, stressed, or tired. This is why it is important to take the time to relax and decompress.

I relish in interactions that leave both parties in a more elevated state in body, mind, and soul.

"Great minds discuss ideas; average minds discuss events; small minds discuss people."  E. Roosevelt

As you may have noticed, I obscure my face in photographs. This is for your protection and my own. The type of person who would typically seek me out realizes the importance of discretion, especially in establishments where he is a  frequent patron. After all, Toronto and Vancouver  are relatively small cities as far as social circles go. While revealing my face would multiply the number of  inquires I receive, my natural disposition favours cultivating few, but deeper, and more profound friendships.

A confidentiality agreement is implicit in all aspects of our communication. I eschew gossip and drama, and never falter in words or expression, even accidentally, when it comes to keeping private matters private. I request the same. My privacy affords me the luxury to connect authentically,  in a warm hearted way so I appreciate your cooperation in protecting my privacy as I would yours.

I luxuriate in the ceremony of prepping and primping before a date. I usually begin by playing my favourite tunes (currently by Serge Gainsbourg  or Hans Zimmer), running the bathtub, and making myself a cup of  rose rooibos or jasmine tea  before immersing myself into a happier and more relaxed reality.

On occasion,  my mind wanders and  I fantasize about how nice it would be to watch a movie projected onto my bathroom wall or even better, be serenaded with poems by Rumi.  Come to think of it, since this is my fantasy, why not  "Kubla Khan or A Vision in a Dream" by Samuel Taylor Coleridge... I enjoy my sensory pleasures but in the interest of punctuality, I try not to let myself get too carried away.

When I'm in a beautiful state of mind, I rinse off, rise and transition to the next step, selecting my attire.  Most of the time,  I am in a casual but stylish ensemble. Other times, I am in business-oriented or cocktail attire.

I am not a fan of wearing sartorially deficient choices in public but I adore implied sensuality.  If you have visual preferences, you may let me know in your message.  My ritualistic grooming  is my way of showing respect to the person I am meeting.  I have no requests as to how someone is dressed in my presence  but cleanliness is paramount.

My dedication to my health is reflected in my lifestyle. I do not engage in any activity that potentially compromises any aspect of my physical or emotional well being.  For as long as I can remember, I have been fascinated by the multitude of ways  people can improve themselves and I cultivate daily habits to optimize many areas of my life.  If you are similar, I'd love to hear what has been working for you.

I am not infallible, nor am I a prude so I allow myself the occasional treat from the local patisserie. When I have to study, I am partial to Walkers pickled onion crisps. Everyone has their vices. Should yours have the potential to affect the quality of our time together, please refrain from indulging before and during our time.

Time is a finite resource so I am almost always on time and fully present. If you are delayed or have to change plans, please notify me as soon as possible. I am understanding of  life's circumstances but I cannot say the same for discourteousness. The Golden Rule applies.
